I love what I do!
I was born in Brooklyn, NY. My family moved to Baldwin NY on Long Island in the 70's when I was 7 or 8 years old and I went to Plaza Elementary school and then the"old" Junior High School in Baldwin, which has since been knocked down to build condos or co-ops, next to Saint Christopher Roman Catholic Church. I had a Newsday paper route back when Newsday was an afternoon newspaper. When my parents split up in the late 70's we lost our home to foreclosure (ironic now that I think of where my career has taken me) and moved to Rockville Centre where my brothers and I went to Oceanside schools for the rest of our education. I attended the "old" Oceanside Junior High School on Merle Ave in Oceanside which is no longer used as a junior high school and Oceanside High School on Skillman Ave, graduating in the class of 1981.
I was first licensed as a Long Island real estate agent in 1987 then started full time in 1991.
I remember when I first got in the business; the market had just adjusted from the boom years of the late 80’s.
Sounds a little familiar…
I actually started as the receptionist / rental guy at my previous company in order to make a few dollars while learning the business of Long Island Real Estate.
I helped develop a rental department, became the rental manager, learning all about fair housing, the section 8 housing program, managing Long Island rental property.
Eventually I became the top producing agent for my previous company , receiving the prestigious Centurion Award from 2002-2005. In 2004 I was named the office manager.
Now I sell, list, rent and manage Long Island Real Estate and love what I do at Remax Shores. Call or text me Erik Reilly at 516.984.0789 Or email me This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
